It was quick and simple to place a reservation online. We received a reminder text the day before and were seated in a booth immediately upon check in. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, offered suggestions and inquired if we have dined with them before. Shortly after that inquiry the manager provided complimentary fresh fried parmesan chips. We started our meal with black coffee and the latest addition to the menu, cheddar bacon biscuits. I highly recommend 😋 both, they surpassed my expectations. My wife enjoyed her breakfast sandwich, but found the hashbrowns to be lacking in flavor so she preferred the Cajun fries I ordered to go with the buffalo chicken nuggets. I'm a huge fan of chicken tortilla soup so I tried that as well. Although I enjoyed the broth, the tortilla strips and cheese I wouldn't order it again because the chicken wasn't seasoned. The log cabin atmosphere touched my country heart! ❤️ My wife and I look forward to returning soon.
My husband and I went to try the food at this restaurant, we were surprised that it was open because some places were closed or closing early, we believe it was because it snowed a lot. Anyway, we ordered appetizer and had dinner there, what we liked most was the Brussels sprouts. The drinks were also delicious, and we had excellent service. Likely we will return for drinks and appetizers but not dinner.
Went there for a work function with several of my employees. We had a fantastic time the allow mellow well-behaved dogs to go in and dine with their owners in a certain section. Multiple fireplaces that are gorgeous very warm and inviting environment. I have a few of the servers come off a little bit and different to me and one of my coworkers which kind of turn me off to some other stuff. Fortunately another staff worker stepped in and completely resolved the issue for us. I was glad to see balance in the workforce there. A lovely place I will go to again in the future and advise anyone to take a trip out a little pricey for the drinks and the food but the environment is worth it if you want to go out to a nice place every now and then please enjoy the videos I hope this helps
1st time here, I ordered a hamburger with bacon, medium-well.
The burger looked good upon presentation, with the Cajun fries (*see photos), however, when I tasted it, it was raw.
I let the server know, and he immediately notified a manager and placed another order for me.
The manager quickly apologized for the condition of the food and handled it professionally by speaking with the chef and correcting the order. The manager comped my meal for the inconvenience of having to wait.
The second burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were fresh.
The place has a large dining room and large seating areas for big groups and a covered patio.
Menu has a good selection of sandwiches, soups, and appetizers to choose.
Lots of health salads and different sauces.
The place looks clean with a friendly service at the bar.
My husband and I go out every week and for the last few weeks its been just mehh until this place!! We are so happy we found some place that makes the food in the kitchen instead of defrosts food sent from corporate. We celebrated my new degree and I was so happy from the food and service, such a great night! Thanks Amber, you're such a kind human and great server, thanks for everything!
First time visitor, parking was great. Handicap parking was well placed but we encountered an issue with the outside door. One person in our party uses a walker and they arrived first. The main door was very heavy for them and it was tough to maintain open while they got through with their walker. They really need a more accessible entry. Besides that, everything was great. Their food was delicious, their service friendly and inviting, and the atmosphere was fun. Love their $10 to-go meal options that even include dessert! For our lunch we had the quesadilla appetizer and they were very cheesy and delicious. I was glad to see they weren’t stingy on their Chipotle chicken. Two people did the fish and chips and loved it. I did the Fried Chicken Sandwich and I liked the coleslaw more than I thought I would. The Apple and Huckleberry open faced pie was "one of the best desserts I’ve ever had" said one of the people in our party and I agree. This place is definitely worth checking out next time you’re in Oak Brook!
Pretty good food, though a tad expensive. The coconut shrimp and cheese curds were tasty, as was the chicken tortilla soup. Solid list of draft beers and cocktails to pick from. Service was alright, atmosphere was nice. Worth checking out for lunch or dinner!
This was our second time dining here, and we haven't had a bad thing. Our favorites are the small plates - the fried deviled eggs, the Brussel sprouts, and the fried hushpuppies. I had the teriyaki chicken bowl for lunch, and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic. For desserts, the banana pudding gets my vote. The menu is massive and can be intimidating, so I recommend checking it out beforehand to get a feel for what you may want. Very family friendly restaurant with a great kids menu booklet with lots of coloring. They also offer retro TV dinner meals you can purchase to take home and make. The bar area has multiple tvs and would be a great place to meet up to watch the game. Don't miss this place if you're in the area!
